The ICD-10 (acronym for the International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition) determines the classification and coding of diseases and a wide variety of signs, symptoms, abnormal findings, complaints, social circumstances and external causes of damage and/or illness. Visit the official page for more information.
World Health Organization is the organization responsible for reviewing and updating the terminology. Our SaaS CTMAP contains a CIE-10 module.
CIE-10 includes codes for two different areas:
- Diagnostics. (ICD-10-CM): Hierarchical structure grouped into chapters, each of which contains clinical conditions of a particular domain.
- (ICD-10-PCS): Axial structure composed of 7 axes that combined represent a given procedure. Each of the axes provides specific information on the different aspects of the technique performed.
